All of the classes and techniques we teach at our studios are mindfully created in order to meet you where you are, and help you get where you want to go. Be prepared, we do things differently at EYP- we focus on helping you achieve overall health, happiness, and well-being, and taking the benefits of your practice at the studio into your daily life. In order to do that, our Pilates, Yoga and Barre programming is designed to help you learn more about your own body, and help you meet its needs. This takes time, patience, kindness, and love!

Explore the group reformer class options below. These classes are held in our fully equipped Pilates studio on Peak Pilates reformers. Our focus is to teach the foundations and fundamentals of Pilates, to teach you from the very beginning how to correctly perform the Pilates exercises and techniques, and to help you progress your practice stage by stage into more advanced work. We find this strategy provides the best outcomes for our members.

REFORMER BASICS

Learn the basic principles of Pilates in our Reformer Basics class. Focus on correct positioning and alignment, and get your Pilates journey off to a strong and balanced start! Minimum 3 Reformer Basics classes recommended prior to joining our Reformer Flow classes.

REFORMER CARDIO FLOW

This all levels class utilizes the jumpboard to keep your heartrate elevated helping you to burn more calories during your reformer workout. The jumpboard allows you to experience an aerobic exercise without stressing your joints. Leave feeling energized and ready for whatever is next!

REFORMER FLOW

All levels reformer Pilates class, designed to teach and practice beginner exercises and basic Pilates concepts. Expect to learn new exercises as you master the fundamentals of Pilates, and progress your practice as you learn the correct technique. Our intention in Reformer Flow is to teach you the correct execution of the beginner exercises while progressing your practice. Modifications and adjustments will be offered.

INTERMEDIATE PILATES

An intermediate class, introducing intermediate Pilates exercises using the reformer, tower and other equipment. Lead Teacher permission is required to join our Intermediate Pilates class, as the class is faster paced and requires that you are able to execute beginner and early intermediate level Pilates exercises without assistance on all of the equipment, while demonstrating the ability to keep the fundamental principles of alignment. Progressions and modifications will be offered.

TOWER FLOW

All levels tower Pilates class, designed to teach and practice beginner tower and mat exercises and reinforce basic Pilates concepts. We recommend, but do not require several Reformer Flow classes before attending Tower Flow. You will learn new exercises, and experience familiar ones in a new way. The Tower is a unique opportunity to address imbalances in your body, and to take your understanding of Pilates to a new level.

INTERMEDIATE/EARLY ADVANCED PILATES

Lead Teacher permission is required for this small group class. This is a strong intermediate level Pilates class, where intermediate and advanced exercises on the reformer, tower and other equipment will be introduced through progression. Expect to utilize all the Pilates principles of Breathing, Centering, Concentration, Control, Flow, and Precision throughout the class.

yoga + barre

Our signature mat classes are carefully designed to be relevant, meaningful, and to meet your needs for strengthening, mobility, balancing, and flexibility. They will leave you feeling happy, content, and relaxed.

FLOW YOGA

Deepen your practice and challenge your mind and body in a creatively flowing, mindfully created, and  all levels vinyasa yoga class. 

GENTLE STRETCH YOGA

A gentle yet effective class, designed to target the deep tissues of your body and promote easier movement in the joints. Guided breathing will lead you to a deeper sense of mind-body connection. Perfect for those looking for a slower, more meditative practice.

HOT POWER FLOW YOGA

This traditional power yoga class is a moderately paced vinyasa flow class designed to move your whole body, increase strength and flexibility, and challenge you mentally and physically. Class is heated between 80 and 90 degrees to deepen the practice and challenge the body.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Rest and restore your body, mind and soul in this slow moving, meditative yoga class designed to recharge you on all levels.

ASHTANGA YOGA

Ashtanga is a yoga practice comprised of a consistent and vigorous series of poses done in a
specific order. The students follow a set sequence of postures each time, gradually progressing
through the series. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on
energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner
peace. This 60 minute class format is suitable for anyone wanting to learn a bit more about this
yoga style. Students will flow through the primary series sequence and learning the proper
alignment and modifications for poses and correct breathing techniques.

PILATES MAT + STRETCH

Combine the strengthening and stabilizing aspects of mat Pilates with the benefits of deep stretching of yoga.

GENTLE FLOW YOGA

This yoga class will open and challenge your body and mind through the combination of slow and steady flow and stillness, accessing the deep benefits of the poses while focusing on meditative movement. 

BARRE

Our signature barre class is carefully planned to strengthen and tone your whole body from head to toe, in a low impact, yet challenging way. Set to music with a fun beat, barre takes the best parts of yoga, pilates, and ballet and combines them into an effective workout that leaves you feeling longer, leaner and happier.

Is this your first time practicing Pilates, Yoga, or Barre? Or maybe this is your first time back in a studio in a while? No problem, our class programming is designed in a way for everyone to learn and receive the many benefits of our classes, regardless of your age or fitness level. We focus on meeting you where you are, and helping you get where you want to go.

courses

We offer a selection of specialty courses, designed with a particular focus or intention, or for a specific group of individuals. Typically these are offered on an ongoing basis, and you commit to the entire course in order to better meet your goals.

PRENATAL YOGA: 

4 WEEK SERIES

This series focuses on yoga for pregnancy, birth, and the first few postpartum weeks. Open to expectant moms from conception to birth. Lead by our certified Prenatal Yoga Teachers

CHAIR YOGA:

5 WEEK SERIES

Increase your flexibility, mobility, and balance using poses, Tai Chi, and breathing in this class for adults over 65. Chairs are available as props and support. Classes are held at Bunten Road Park in Duluth in partnership with the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Dept. Call BRP to register.

YOGA FOR BACK CARE: 8 WEEK SERIES

An 8 week series aimed at giving you the knowledge and tools to live with less pain and more ease of movement throughout your body, but specifically your spine. We'll utilize Gentle Flow, Yin, and Structural Yoga to explore where you are and where you want to be, and keep class sizes small to ensure that everyone can receive personal attention in each class for maximum benefit from the series.  This series consists of 1 Workshop, 8 Weekly Classes, and 2 Private Sessions. 

SOUND HEALING EVENT

Take a journey through body, mind, and spirit with this unique offering of Sound Healing utilizing the voice, drums, bowls, and gongs.  You'll travel through your body with vocal sound tuning, through the mind with shamanic brainwave entrainment drumming, and through the electromagnetic field with gongs and singing bowls tuned to the chakras. This experience is deeply calming, restorative, and cleansing with the ability to recalibrate your vibrational frequency. 

ASHTANGA YOGA: PRIMARY SERIES

We will break down the primary sequence in 4 series. The goal is to build strength and flexibility in the body, loosening tight muscles and realigning the body. The series begins with forward bends, then twists and hip openers. Each series will last 4 weeks.

YOGA 101:

4 WEEK SERIES

This 4 class series will give you an introduction to yoga asanas, breathing techniques, meditation, and yoga philosophy. The intention of this class is to help you develop a safe and confident yoga practice, while providing you with tools and techniques to incorporate yoga into your daily life. Classes are held at Bunten Road Park in Duluth in partnership with the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Dept. Call BRP to register.
